Solann Lake, 64 miles (45minutes) northwest of the airbase is 5 miles long x 1/4 mile wide, is weedy and mostly shallow to 20 feet. Solann and Michaels Lakes are joined by a river and Michaels is a rocky deeper lake.

The cabin is a 16 x 24 ft log cabin, newly built in 2001 and equipped with built in bunks and foam mattresses, propane lights, a wood burning air tight for heat, a full-size propane cookstove and full-size propane refrigerator. All cooking and eating utensils are supplied.

A 14 ft aluminum boat with 6 hp outboard is provided for each two adult fishermen.

Recommended tackle for Northerns is spinners, spoons, plugs, anything BIG, 15 lb test line, medium action rod and for Walleyes, jigs and minnows/crawlers, 6 – 10 lb test line, light – ultra light rod.

There are no other outfitters or cabins on this lake. We limit Solann/Michaels to 25 fishermen per season to ensure a very high quality fishing experience.
