Merekeme Outpost
Located in Merekeme Bay at the northend of Esnagi Lake, 38 miles (20 minutes) northeast of our base is 27 miles long and varying in width from mile to 10 miles. The structure is sandy and rocky with numerous weedbeds. The depth averages about 15 ft but is as deep as 75 ft in spots.
The cabin is 20 x 20 of wood frame construction with built in beds and foam mattresses, propane lighting, wood burning air tight for heat, full size propane refrigerator with top freezer, full size propane cookstove with oven. In 2002 hot and cold running water was added to the kitchen and full bathroom. All cooking utensils and dishes are supplied and there is a large deck with gas barbecue.
14ft aluminum boats with 9.9 horse power, 4 stroke outboard motors are available for each 2 fishermen.
